RULES AND INFORMATION
  1. The exhibitor must own animal for at least 30 days prior to AgFest. (See Ownership Requirements for specie date in Junior Livestock Department Rules).
  2. Independent exhibitors must submit pictures electronically with exhibitors name in the subject line to agfestlvstck@gmail.com (4 views, face, both sides & back including Exhibitor’s face in pictures with their animal), permanent tag and/or tattoo information no later than 30 days prior to AgFest. (See Ownership Requirements for specie date).
  3. This is an official show sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association. ADGA rules shall govern provided they do not conflict with any of the rules and regulations prescribed by the Division of Fairs and Expositions of the California State Department of Food & Agriculture. The show order is not subject to change.
  4. The Junior and Senior Show are NOT separately sanctioned.
  5. Disposing of milk – see Dairy Parlor Rules
  6. Nursing dairy goats with kids at side are permissible.
  7. Registered Animals: All Certificates of Registry must have “blue bordered” papers. “Brown bordered” papered animals must show in the Recorded Grade division. SJCJSAC Staff prior to show will check all papers.
  8. Stamped duplicate ADGA applications or registrations are acceptable on animals six months of age and younger.
  9. Legible tattoo is required. No tattooing on the fairgrounds.
  10. Exhibitor entering this Department has read the Junior Livestock – Showmanship Section, and parents, leaders or advisors have reviewed with Exhibitor.

Division 10 – Group / Production Classes

One entry per class, per exhibitor. All animals must be one breed. Exhibitor must own all.

CLASS
  1. Dam and Daughter: To consist of a dam and her daughter. Daughter must be bred by exhibitor. Dam must be named on entry.
  2. Get of Sire: To consist of three does, all with the same sire. Sire must be named on entry.
  3. Herd: To consist of four does.
  4. Best Three Females: To consist of three does bred by the exhibitor.
  5. Produce of Dam: To consist of two does from the same dam.

RULES AND INFORMATION
  1. No more than two animals owned by each exhibitor. Each animal in the group pen competition must have been shown in the breeding classes in the Junior Department. Quality and uniformity of the animals in the group will be emphasized.
