Must have 10 animals by 3 exhibitors to hold show

All Livestock must be in place and checked in by the times stated in the 2019 Daily Schedule

Boer goats, dairy goats and breeding sheep shows are one day shows

There will be no showing out of trailers.  All animals will be penned. Pens must be cleaned out prior to release.

Please use pens designated to your club/chapter for your market animals

RULES AND INFORMATION
  1. The exhibitor must own animal for at least 30 days prior to AgFest.(See Ownership Requirements for specie date).
  2. Independent exhibitors must submit pictures electronically with exhibitors name in the subject line to agfestlvstck@gmail.com(4 views, face, both sides & back including Exhibitor’s face in pictures with their animal), permanent tag and/or tattoo information no later than 30 days prior to AgFest.  (See Ownership Requirements for specie date)
  3. Goats must be at least 2 months old.  Any female over 24 months of age that has not kidded or has proof of current pregnancy, will not be allowed to show. 
  4. Bucks under 2 years of age – Registered only.  All bucks must be shown by exhibitor unless there are two in the same class; and exhibitor MUST be able to control buck in the ring.
  5. Birth dates as listed on registration certificate will determine classes.  Classes may be combined or broken out at SJCJSAC discretion. 
  6. Percentage and Full blood goats must be registered in the Herd Book of American Boer Goat Association, International Boer Goat Association. Original registration certificate is required and must be in the exhibitor’s name. Information on transfers is not acceptable.  AgFest Staff prior to show will check all papers. 
  7. All animals must be registered full blood, purebred or percentage blood and the registration papers must match tattoo(s) or other means of permanent identification or the animal will not be shown.  Tattoo policy will be strictly enforced. 
  8. Commercial Does will be weighed and split into classes.
  9. Any goat showing pronounced defects or abnormalities may not show. 
  10. Fittings at the discretion of the exhibitor. NO ARTIFICIAL COLORING ALLOWED!
  11. No show collars with spikes allowed. 
  12. AgFest does not provide any bedding for any animals.  All animals will be bedded on shavings. 
  13. ALL COMMERCIAL DOES AND ANY DOE NOT HAVING A REGISTRATION PAPER/TATTOO MUST HAVE A SCRAPIE TAG. 
  14. Exhibitor entering this Department has read the Junior Livestock – Showmanship Section, and parents, leaders or advisors have reviewed with Exhibitor. 
  15. ALL Exhibitors are to completely clean pens prior to release, and place debris in designated areas.
