JUDGES COMMENTS
“Junior Champion goes to the Winter Yearling Heifer. She is the most balanced. She is tall and long, she deep in her barrel with a sweeping rib. Furthermore she is wide through the chest floor and carries that width back through her hooks and pins.”

Emily Bavaro, Escalon 4-H

JUDGES COMMENTS
“Senior Champion goes to the 5 yr old cow. She wins today for her advantage in mamary system. She is higher, tighter, and wider rear udder attachment. The 5 yr old cow has an udder that sits higher above the hocks. Furthermore she is taller at the point of withers, longer from end to end, and is cleaner about the head and neck.”

JUDGES COMMENTS
“Junior champion is going to be the first place senior yearling. This heifer is the most correct. She is straight over the top, has a great slope from hooks to pins, she is has plenty of width, she is deep and walks on a good set of feet and legs. I would like to see her with a little less weight on her.”

JUDGES COMMENTS
“Senior Champion is 224063, the senior two year old. This cow has the most dairy strength in the Other Grade UNregistered Show. She is extremely deep in her barrel, she is more open through the ribs, and straight/strong over her top. Furthermore she has strong fore udder attachment.”

JUDGES COMMENTS
“Reserve Junior Champion is the Senior Yearling. She is not quote as balanced as the junior champion, but i admire her overall size. She is tall, long, and deep. If she was more level across the rump, she could be junior champion today.”
