Notes from August 6 General Meeting

Thank you to those who came to our first AgFest 2020 planning meeting on August 6.
Here are some key notes that came out of the meeting:

  • Dates were set for AgFest 2020 – June 13th – June 20th. Farm to Fork will take place on Saturday, June 13th. Contests begin with breeding shows on Sunday, June 14th and the Livestock Auction will conclude the week on Saturday, June 20th (the day before Father’s Day).
  • The first meeting for the Governance committee will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 6 pm at the Roberts Union Farm Center 4925 Howard Rd. 
    -This meeting will cover proposed changes to current bylaws. Here are our current bylaws for review prior to the meeting.

    -This meeting will also be for the nominating committee. Please come if you are interested in nominating someone for key positions. The President and Secretary positions are open, as well as some Committee Chairs that the new president will appoint. 
  • If you are interested in volunteering to chair a committee or fill an office, please review the proposed standing committee list and then complete an application and return it to

  • There are many opportunities to volunteer outside of chairing a committee or filling an office. We encourage new voices and ideas. Please keep attending out general meeting or email to find out how.

Our next meeting will be our MEMBERSHIP meeting and will be held on TUESDAY – SEPTEMBER 10th, 2019 at 6 pm.  The Location is TBD. Please mark and adjust your calendar as this will be the 2nd week of September due to the holiday.
